PRACTICAL GUIDE

How to travel for treatment: what to do before your flight

This page collects what needs sorting out before departure and right after arrival: the visa invitation, tickets, transport, accommodation, connectivity and what to pack. The medical side is described separately — on the service pages.

VISA

Invitation and visa

The medical invitation letter is issued by the hospital for your visa application and extensions inside China

Medical invitation letter

Once the treatment plan is confirmed, the hospital issues an official invitation letter. You use it to apply for your visa to China.

Help with extending your visa

If your stay turns out shorter than the course of treatment, we help you file for an extension inside China — no need to leave and apply again.

Documents and passport

A passport with sufficient remaining validity and copies of the medical documents. The exact list depends on the country you apply from — we will confirm it for your situation.

TRAVEL

Flights, transport and pickup

Flights, medical transport and airport pickup are all arranged in advance

Book tickets early and share your itinerary

Book your flights in advance and send us the full itinerary after purchasing: the airport pickup is organized exactly by it.

Medical transport

If an ambulance transfer is needed, tell us in advance — we arrange it before you land rather than on the spot. Most patients do not need it.

Meeting and transfer

We meet you at the airport and drive you to the center. Further movement around the city is agreed with your coordinator in advance.

ACCOMMODATION

Where to stay and how to stay reachable

Specific arrangements for lodging, meals and connectivity

Accommodation for the patient and one companion

Lodging is provided for the patient and one accompanying family member. For other relatives we help find an option near the center.

Meals

Three meals a day for the patient are included in the standard room. Tell us about dietary restrictions in advance — they are taken into account when the menu is planned.

Connectivity

After arrival we help you buy a local SIM card: data and calls cost noticeably less than roaming, and your coordinator stays reachable.

CHECKLIST

What to bring

Check every item before departure so nothing is missing at the last minute

Passport and visa

Valid for the whole trip, name matching the ticket

Medical invitation letter

Printed copy — keep one with you

Discharge summaries, reports and scans

Scans are best carried on a disc or as files

List of current medications

With drug names and doses

Personal medication for the whole stay

Enough for the travel days, with a prescription

Toiletries and slippers

Toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers and the like

Flight confirmation and itinerary

Send it to your coordinator in advance

Local SIM card

We help you buy one after arrival

What this guide does not replace

This page does not cover treatment methods, indications or the length of a course: that is assessed from your documents. If you need that part, start with the service pages — we take care of the logistics around your trip.

Tell us where you are flying from

Share your departure city and how many people are travelling — we plan the invitation, pickup and accommodation around that
